The University’s New Public Safety Building project includes a newly constructed 50,000 gsf, 3-story building and renovations of 5,500 sf to the adjacent existing Centrex Building. The combined areas housing all the departments of the University of Florida Police Department (UFPD), the
Department of Emergency Management and the Emergency Operations Center (EOC).

Interior designed spaces include a public lobby, community meeting room, offices, multipurpose space, public records storage, interview rooms, locker rooms, and a vehicle sally port. The Public Safety Building serves as the main on-campus Shelter-in-Place facility in the event of natural or man made emergencies.
