UF seeks to expand the amount and variety of outdoor recreation opportunities available at its main campus by constructing the Flavet Outdoor Recreation Complex. Sitting on approximately five acres of land, this project will feature a variety of recreation elements chosen by students via campus survey, as well as improvements to the existing restroom structure and backstage operations area of the Flavet Band Shell. A commitment to environmental sustainability has been paramount since the project’s inception, with the design being crafted to meet SITES Gold certification criteria.
