UF 638 Student Health Care Center Phase II
The UF 638 Student Health Care Center (SHCC) is a newly constructed 46,400 sq. ft, state-of-the-art facility designed to improve and expand upon the medical resources offered to the University’s students. Completed in January 2023, the SHCC was created with holistic well-being in mind, offering features such as abundant daylight, biophilic elements, circadian lighting, tiered gardens and a rooftop terrace. Future expansion was considered in its design, with the building able to accommodate a 50% increase in square footage. The facility is the first student healthcare center in the world to receive the WELL Platinum Certification, a building standard focused on creating thoughtful spaces that enhance human health and well-being. CHW provided surveying, landscape architecture, civil engineering, permitting, construction administration, and CEI services for this project.
