CHW recently wrapped up improvements to Forest Park, a 24± acre park acquired by the City of Gainesville through the Wild Spaces & Public Places program. In addition to enhancing and expanding existing amenities, the project addressed flooding issues which frequently occurred during large storms. The redesigned facility features new water fountains, shade structures, field lighting, seating, pickleball courts, and a second smaller soccer field, as well as a reconfigurations to the existing fields and dog park. The park officially reopened on Saturday, September 23rd, and was celebrated with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
