What is MS?
Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information between the brain and the body, and even the brain itself.
The cause of MS is unknown. It is believed to be triggered when the body’s immune system incorrectly attacks the protective coating around nerve endings and the nerve fibers themselves. When this happens, messages within the central nervous system are altered or stopped completely.
How to Help
Awareness is critical. As the presenting sponsors at this year’s MS Walk, we are committing to increasing MS awareness and raising $5,000 for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
