The CHW land surveyor and construction services teams hosted “Align It Up,” a Surveying and Mapping Learning Lab at the Northeast Florida Construction Career Days. “Align It Up” was a hands-on demonstration; teaching measuring utilizing pacing, conventional measuring methods, and modern equipment to determine distances, angles, and elevations. The students learned the difference between horizontal and vertical alignments and how survey is incorporated into almost every aspect of construction from design through completion.

Our teams had a great time teaching the students at this event, thank you to all the schools that participated in this event as we aim to teach about and grow careers in construction.
