The CHW Landscape Architecture team has been busy developing and overseeing the new outdoor putting green installation at the CHW Professional Consultants headquarter office in Gainesville / Alachua, Florida.
The approximately 370-square-foot outdoor putting green will now serve as a new amenity for our team by providing a new outdoor place to chat, enjoy each other’s company, and catch some sun while playing four holes and maneuvering a tricky sand trap. The new addition will also serve as a life-size showroom for our clients that may have an interest in including a putting green on their next project. The feature itself heightens the interest and curb appeal of our office as the new putting green and landscape additions enhance the prominence of the building.
Artificial turf was selected for this application for a multitude of reasons, including its many eco-friendly features. By specifying the artificial turf, the CHW putting green is anticipated to conserve approximately over 20,000 gallons of water per year and reduce the need for future herbicide and pesticide applications. Artificial turf is also sanitary, easy to clean, and fights against unwanted debris and bacteria.
At CHW, it’s no secret we love our local sports, and we’re ready to bring our passion and extensive knowledge of artificial sports turf to your future projects!
CHW teamed with our friends at Iconic Greens & Turfs to design and install a new putting green at CHW Corporate Offices. The new putting green was designed to perfectly fit the project site’s aesthetic, adding attraction to the building’s character. The Iconic crew brought their exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail for this complex installation and the CHW team enjoyed watching the transformational process. From early site prep through the installation of the gravel, fines, and padding, to the fitting of the artificial turf and final “sanding” the team from Iconic performed at the highest standard.
Bryce A. Burger Landscape, LLC. provided landscaping and irrigation modifications necessary to accommodate the new putting green – and they did not disappoint. Bryce’s crew installed a variety of shrubs, groundcovers, palms, and flowering perennials that serve as a backdrop for the new amenity and improve the streetscape along Research Drive.
Thank you, Iconic Greens & Turfs and Bryce A. Burger Landscape, for turning our office golfing dreams into a reality. Let the putt-offs begin!
