Chad Colson, PSM, Promoted to Director of Surveying, Transportation + Geospatial Services

GAINESVILLE, FL, January 19, 2024 – CHW Professional Consultants is proud to announce that Chad Colson, PSM, has been promoted to Director of Surveying, Transportation + Geospatial Services, in the firm’s Alachua office.

Mr. Colson joined CHW in 2020 as a senior project manager, bringing with him over 10 years of prior experience managing survey projects and field crews. Since then, he has increased the capacity of the survey department’s field and office staff to support both in-house engineering design projects and independent projects.

In his role, he is responsible for reviewing and finalizing the organization of transportation and LiDAR field crews, supervising department staff, and processing field information to create surveys and maps for CHW’s private and government sector clients.

“Chad has shown exceptional leadership in establishing and growing our transportation and LiDAR surveying practices throughout Florida,” said Aaron Hickman, Vice President. “We are fortunate to have his talents, and I’m excited to see what’s next for him and his team.”

Mr. Colson, a professional land surveyor in Florida, received a Bachelor of Science in Geomatics from the University of Florida. He is a licensed Remote Pilot with the DOT/FAA and a member of both the National Society of Professional Surveyors and the Florida Society of Surveying and Mapping.
