Gainesville, FL, March 20, 2015– – CHW, north central Florida’s leading planning, surveying, civil engineering, and construction services consultants, Robert J. Walpole, PE and Gerry Dedenbach, AICP, have been selected as members of the City of Gainesville’s newly developed Blue Ribbon Advisory Committee on Economic Competitiveness. The Blue Ribbon Committee is a task force consisting of a diverse group of twenty-three (23) appointed members from the University of Florida, Santa Fe College, City of Gainesville, Gainesville Chamber and The Builders Association of North Central Florida. These members were collected and selected by the Mayor and City Commission members.

The intent of the Blue Ribbon Advisory Committee is to meet Mayor Ed Braddy’s goal of making Gainesville the best place for businesses to do business in the State of Florida. The committee’s primary responsibility is to study, research, evaluate, and make recommendations to the City Commission concerning changes to the City’s regulations, organization, processes, technology, and staffing to improve the City’s business environment.
