Tyler Nutter Promoted to Field Crew Chief
Congratulations, Tyler, on this well-earned career advancement!
GAINESVILLE, FL, January 02, 2024 – CHW is excited to announce the promotion of Tyler Nutter to the position of Field Crew Chief in the Survey and Mapping Department.
Tyler joined CHW’s Land Surveying + Mapping department in 2021 as a Summer Intern, then came on-board full-time in 2022 as an Instrument Person. He quickly learned how to accurately and efficiently operate the equipment placed in his hands.
Since then, Tyler’s expertise in the management and operation of survey instruments, management of inventory for the crew truck, and technical skillset while encountering dynamic weather conditions and terrain have become important contributions to our Gainesville Survey Team. His excellent performance was noticed, and in recent months, his responsibilities were increased to the level of a Junior Crew Chief. In that time, the dedication and attention to detail he showed in every aspect of his fieldwork earned him his new promotion.
As Crew Chief, Tyler will apply his surveying experience and adaptability to direct and train field survey crews while providing accurate data and field notes for infrastructure, mixed-use development, and utility projects across the state of Florida. In his role, he seeks to continue honing his abilities in construction layout and learn new skills in transportation, boundary, topographic, and as-built surveying. He is also considering pursuing a degree in Geomatics with the goal of becoming a licensed surveyor.
