GAINESVILLE, FL, November 30, 2022 – CHW Professional Consultants, a leading planning, surveying, engineering, landscape architecture, ecological, and construction services firm is excited to announce Laurie Hall, ASLA, PLA, CHW Director of Landscape Architecture, as the 2023 President of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) Florida Chapter.
Laurie has been a dedicated member of ASLA for over 15 years and has worked tirelessly to advance the profession of Landscape Architecture through her service to the Society. Over this time, she has served in a variety of leadership roles including as Chair of the ASLA Florida Conference & Annual Meeting and Chapter Treasurer. Laurie is also the recipient of the 2018 ASLA Florida Exceptional Emerging Professional Award which is an honor awarded to a landscape architect who represents the highest standard of excellence and is in the early stages of their career.
A major focus for her term is to empower and elevate, and, to that end, engage future generations of landscape architects, while continuing to support and advocate for Landscape Architects across the country. As Chapter President she will work closely with ASLA Government Affairs, Education, and the Professional Practice Network to provide opportunities for mentorship, learning, leadership skills, advocacy, and much more.

ASLA Florida is one of the largest chapters in the United States, claiming over 750 members in total. Chapter Presidents are elected by Chapter members and serve a three-year term as President-Elect, President, and Past President. Members of the Society adhere to a code of ethics and professional conduct that assures dedication to public health, safety, and welfare, as well as recognition and protection of the land and its natural resources.
