October is Greenways and Trails Month! Urban trails and greenways are critical components of community-focused public spaces and mixed-use development. Planning and designing these trails alongside existing rivers, bayous, parks, and even railroads are meant to improve transit options and safety for pedestrians and cyclists. CHW’s professionals integrate design solutions into existing ecosystems that maintain accessibility for all citizens.
